Privacy policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy explains what Quatern collects when you use quatern.co, the Quatern command-line tool, and the Quatern hosted service, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub username, account ID, account creation date, and the email address on your account.
- Usage. For each request the tool sends through our service, we record when it happened, which model was used, how many tokens it consumed, and whether it succeeded. We use this for free-tier limits, rate limits, abuse prevention, and billing.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can reply.
What we don't store
Your prompts, code, and the model's responses pass through our service to Anthropic to generate a response. We do not store or log them.
Your robot's sensor recordings, run records, and local configuration stay on your own computer and robot. The tool only sends what the model needs for the task you asked for.
Who we share it with
- Anthropic, our model provider, receives the requests needed to generate responses, under its terms for API customers.
- Cloudflare, which runs our service, and GitHub, for sign-in.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can use Quatern with your own Anthropic API key instead of our service. In that case, requests go directly from your machine to Anthropic and never reach us. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by emailing [email protected].
Retention
We keep account and usage data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your account data, and keep usage records only as long as needed for billing and legal obligations.
Children
Quatern is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users.
